A Simple Silhouette

Hello there my blogger friends -
Today I have a simple card experimenting
with some oxide inks (I need the practice)
and came up with

for the September CAS Watercolour Challenge
and for their

I am still having fun playing with some of my new
Lavinia Stamps and there are a few more to come.
My watercolour background has been smooched
several times. I then heat embossed my Lavinia Thistle
in white adding Nuvo Crystal Glaze to the centre.
For interest I stamped around it with a small script stamp
with Hero Arts Unicorn Pigment Ink.
This was cut from a Spellbinder Die
and again with the 2 larger ones and popped.
Sentiment is from
and also has the crystal glaze.
PS I chose the LOVE die just because
I Love Thistles oh! and there is Purple...

#Updated -  Also popping this over to
City Crafter Challenge Blog for their
Challenge #378 Pick One.

I could play with more of these gorgeous colours!
I'm thinking I may just do that.
Thanks for dropping by today.
Love reading your comment. Till next time

Gorgeous colours for your smooshed background, Ina. Love it paired with the white thistle ... such a beautiful image. The script stamping in the background adds lots of visual texture. Thanks for sharing with us at CAS Watercolour!

Love the bright meld of colours you've achieved in that gorgeous watercolour background, yet still a CAS style card, so clever Ina!

Those oxides are the perfect background for the white embossed seed head. The die cut shape is different and I love it x

LOVE, love, love what you have done with those Oxides~~~it's just genius to use the frames and make the focal in the center. So simple, but it showcases that stamp beautifully. I'm such a fan of Lavinia. I must pin, once again!!! Thanks for the great inspiration!
